Job Description
The Rent Solutions Specialist supports Argyle Housing’s financial sustainability by monitoring and managing rent accounts, with a strong focus on early identification of arrears, accurate rent data management, and effective debt recovery processes. The role is primarily responsible for implementing payment arrangements, maintaining payment records, and supporting the resolution of rent-related issues to reduce debt and sustain tenancies.
The Rent Solutions Specialist works closely with internal teams to provide timely, accurate information and guidance that supports effective, client-centred responses to rent-related issues. While not directly responsible for facilitating client support, the role plays a critical part in ensuring payment arrangements are viable and well-documented, and in supporting the implementation of appropriate client engagement strategies.
Desired Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications in social housing or business administration or accounting (desirable)
Demonstrated experience in a financial or accounting role or understanding of property management (desirable)
Experience in a range of business and office applications and online reporting systems
Sound understanding of social and community issues impacting on social and affordable housing clients
Sensitivity and understanding of cultural and socio-economic characteristics
